We will confirm whether the requested changes can still be made, depending on the stage your order has reached in our dispatch process.
What Are The Delivery Costs?
All prices are inclusive of delivery charges, with the exception of the surcharge applied to orders between 300kg and 499kg.This surcharge is clearly shown at checkout and helps cover the additional courier costs associated with smaller deliveries.
Which Courier Do You Use?
We use several methods of transport for pallet deliveries, depending on availability and location.Deliveries may be made using our own transport, which will follow our scheduled delivery routes, or through trusted third-party haulage partners, such as Hathaways or H&M.We will select the most appropriate delivery method for your order and location.
How Can I Track My Order?
If you have any questions regarding the tracking of your order, please contact our office on 01666 331 713 and we will be happy to assist. Pallet deliveries can be made at any time during the working day. While we always aim to deliver as scheduled, on rare occasions delays may occur due to adverse traffic conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
When Will My Order Be Delivered?
Shipton Mill will endeavour to process and despatch your order within 3–5 working days. This timeframe may vary depending on stock availability, the volume of orders being processed and carrier capacity. Standard operating hours for deliveries are between 09:00 and 17:30, Monday to Friday. However, depending on depot activity, delivery routes and traffic conditions, the courier may occasionally arrive before or after these standard hours. Please note that we do not make pallet deliveries at weekends or on bank holidays. While we always aim to meet the stated timescales, occasional delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. For this reason, we recommend that customers maintain an appropriate level of stock to allow for any unexpected delays in production, despatch or delivery. Delays may occur if we are awaiting for a fresh batch to be ready as we mill in small batches to maintain freshness of our natural flours.
What Happens If My Order Is Damaged In Transit?
At the time of delivery, all goods should be carefully inspected for any visible damage before the delivery is accepted. If any damage is found, please report it to the delivery driver immediately. If the goods cannot be refused, please write “DAMAGE” next to your signature when signing for the pallet. If a pallet is signed for without any damage being reported, it will be assumed that the palletised goods were received in good condition. If your order is damaged during transit, please contact our office within 48 hours of delivery by email at artisan@shipton-mill.com. To help us investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please include: clear photographs of the damage; details of which products have been damaged and the quantity or number of sacks affected.
Is There A Minimum Order Volume/ Value?
For trade orders, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is: Mainland UK: 500kg per order. Scotland: 1,000kg per order. Orders between 300kg and 500kg can be accepted but will carry a surcharge to help cover the additional courier costs associated with smaller deliveries. Retail flour is the exception: these can be ordered in multiples of 24kg boxes.
Is There An Easy Way To Repeat A Previous Order?
Yes, you can easily review your previous orders and add the same products and quantities back into your basket. This makes it simple to repeat regular orders without having to select each product again.
What Happens When A Product Is Out Of Stock?
We strive to maintain a steady supply of our key products at all times. However, as we work with natural raw materials, factors such as weather and harvest conditions can occasionally affect availability. Some of our more rare and unusual grains are also available only in limited quantities, meaning that certain specialist flours are produced in smaller batches and may occasionally experience delays. In the unlikely event that an item on your order is unavailable, we will contact you, where possible, the day before delivery to let you know about the shortage. You will then have the option of either receiving a refund or having the missing items sent separately, usually by DPD, before your next order.
